Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.
Please note that you can only have one Microsoft 365 subscription associated with your Microsoft account at a time. In other words, you can have either a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription or a Microsoft 365 Family subscription, but not both at the same time.
If you are downgrading from Microsoft 365 Family to Microsoft 365 Personal, you will first need to cancel your Microsoft 365 Family subscription. Once the current subscription reaches its expiration date, you can then redeem and activate your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription on the same Microsoft account.
May I ask if you received a product key by email after purchasing Microsoft 365 Personal from Best Buy? If so, have you already redeemed it to your Microsoft account?
If you have not redeemed the product key yet,
- Sign in to your Microsoft account and open the Services & subscriptions page. https://account.microsoft.com/services Cancel your Microsoft 365 Family subscription. Wait until the current billing period ends and the subscription expires.
- After it has expired, redeem your Microsoft 365 Personal product key from the link here:
