Is MS really getting rid of Publisher

Question

Folks just a really quick FYI for "Is MS really getting rid of Publisher" - If you need to open and modify Pub files I have tested using LibreOffice Draw. Direct opening without issue. Yes there is a slight learning curve BUT the bottom line it just works and OH!! IT'S FREE. ( 50 plus years in Tech ) Yeah I freaked out at first . . .

LibreOffice Draw may be a useful free alternative for opening and editing .pub files, although formatting, fonts, or complex layouts may not always transfer exactly, so keeping backups of the original files is recommended.

Microsoft Publisher will reach end of life in October 2026. Microsoft 365 subscribers will no longer be able to access Publisher after October 1, 2026, while support for perpetual versions ends on October 13, 2026. Converting important files to PDF or Word beforehand is highly recommended.
