Microsoft 365 Personal is tied to the Microsoft account that owns the subscription, not to just one computer.

To use it on the laptop:

1. On the laptop, open a browser and sign in at microsoft365.com with the same Microsoft account used for the desktop subscription.
2. Install Microsoft 365 from that account.
3. After installation, open an Office app and sign in with that same account to activate it.

Important details:

• The product key is only redeemed once. After that, the subscription is linked to the Microsoft account.
• If the laptop is signed in with a different email/account, Office may ask to purchase again. In that case, sign out in the Office app and sign back in with the account that owns Microsoft 365 Personal.
• Microsoft 365 Personal is for one person’s account only. If another person needs to use Office with their own separate account, Microsoft 365 Family is the appropriate option.
