I registered for my personal 365 account with my gmail. To sign in to Outlook, I used my Gmail, but when I signed in to Outlook with my Gmail, it seemingly created an Outlook alias @gmail.com. I successfully connected my gmail account to my desktop outlook account, but, it shows as @gmail.com 1, and my outlook shows as @gmail.com. I do not want my outlook as @gmail, it is very confusing, especially as I never set up an outlook alias to begin with. How do I change this?

Here: https://account.live.com/names/manage you can add aliases and even change your primary email address for your Microsoft account.
