Need contact for billing help

Microsoft failed to notify us of a subscription renewal and payment processing failure. We have just lost access due to the license deactivating. As a result, the Admin portal tells us to contact support.

However, the "Support Center" regurgitates useless information, the AI on the phone support number goes in circles asking the same question again while refusing to connect to a billing specialist instead sending us online (when we were explicitly told to call) and disconnecting, and the "request a phone call or email" option does not appear where all the instructions say it should. I am a Global Admin with full access to every part of the account; this should not be an issue.

What is a number I can call and get a human - a living, breathing, mortal human - on the phone and get this fixed?

    Hello,

I did use everything in the Admin Console. I do not have the ability to submit a ticket. We did purchase the license directly as far as I know (though, like I said, the license disappeared because of this billing issue). I need word-for-word instructions for getting through the phone tree AI to talk to a person to get this resolved. Or I need Microsoft to call me tomorrow. This has incapacitated part of our organization for almost a week.

I hate to say it, but both my patience and understanding are gone. This problem was caused and exacerbated by Microsoft and Microsoft alone.

    Hi ASL,

Since you are a Global Administrator, may I ask whether you're still able to access Microsoft 365 Admin Center or not? For billing and subscription related matters, you need to contact Microsoft Billing Support team through the Microsoft 365 admin center, as the Billing team is the only team authorized to handle billing-related matters.

Here are some tips for creating support tickets more effectively:

    • Sign into Microsoft 365 admin center with your Global Admin account > Support > Help & Support.
    • Turn off the "Support Assistant" feature.
    • Use the keyword "Support" to quickly bypass automated suggestions > select Contact Support.

    • In the ticket description, please provide a clear and detailed explanation of the issue and your billing information. You may also attach relevant screenshots or screen recordings.
    • Change the title so the ticket will be routed correctly to the Billing team, for example "Billing Issue - Subscription Renewal"
    • Additionally, sharing your preferred contact times can help the support team handle the case more efficiently.

Important note: If your subscription was bought through a partner/CSP, there maybe no available option to create support ticket in Admin Center Help & Support. In this case, you need to contact your partner and ask them to create a support ticket on your behalf since the support entitlement is handled by the partner.

Hope the information provided has been useful. Please feel free to reach out anytime in the comments of this post if you need further assistance. I'm happy to assist you further.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
