When I Right click a PDF Field the Paste option is grayed out in Edge browser. Control V works but the right click paste does not. This has been ongoing since April/May 2026. Is there a fix for this?

Could you please share the version number shown there and confirm whether the right-click Paste option is grayed out only in fillable PDF fields, or whether it also happens on regular websites?

I tested this on Windows 11 with Microsoft Edge 151.0.4129.59.
I can reproduce the issue only in fillable PDF fields. Ctrl+V works, but “Paste” and “Paste as plain text” are disabled in the right-click menu. On regular web input fields, both keyboard and right-click paste work. The same behavior occurs in an InPrivate window.
The relevant Edge clipboard policies—DefaultClipboardSetting, ClipboardAllowedForUrls, and ClipboardBlockedForUrls—are not configured on this device. This suggests that the behavior is specific to Edge’s PDF viewer rather than a general clipboard permission, although I have not confirmed whether it is a known bug.
Version 151.0.4129.59 (Official build) (64-bit). Paste and Paste as plain text is still grayed out. Control V works, but not right click.
Thank you for confirming. I was also able to reproduce this behavior in Microsoft Edge 151.0.4129.59 using a newly created standard fillable PDF. In every field, Paste and Paste as plain text are grayed out, while Ctrl+V works normally.
This indicates that the issue is with the context menu in Edge’s built-in PDF viewer rather than the individual PDF file or the Windows clipboard.
Microsoft’s current Edge release notes and known-issues page do not yet document a fix for this specific behavior.
For now, please use Ctrl+V as the workaround.
