The Microsoft Family Subscription is linked to some crazy outlook email. I sign in to my account (the app) and it shows personal version. I sign into my account on the web and its the correct Family subscription but linked to some other email and when you select account information it doesn't even show (my) personal information. I want to get a refund and just be done at this point. I would really love to get help. This should not be this hard. I need the subscription that cost hard earning dollars to be on my account!!!! HUMANS HELP!!!!!!! I'm not built for this AI stuff.

For a refund or to fix a Microsoft 365 Family subscription that appears tied to the wrong Microsoft account, the supported path is to contact Microsoft Support directly through Get Help or the support website.

    1. Go to Get Help on the web or open the Get Help app in Windows.
    2. Enter billing as the issue.
    3. Select Contact Support.
    4. Choose Microsoft 365 and then Manage my subscription.
    5. Select Chat with a support agent in your web browser or request a call back if that option is offered.

If the subscription is visible on the web under the correct Microsoft account but the app shows a different personal subscription, use the account that shows the Family subscription on the web when contacting support so the billing team can review the subscription record.

If cancellation is preferred, sign in to the Microsoft account that has the subscription, go to the subscription page, and follow the cancellation steps. Important effects of canceling Microsoft 365 include:

    • storage reverts to 5 GB of cloud storage for OneDrive and Outlook.com attachments
    • Outlook.com storage becomes 15 GB
    • if usage is over the free allowance, new file upload, edit, or sync can stop
    • Outlook.com email send/receive can stop
    • after 12 months, OneDrive and files in it may be deleted
    • for Microsoft 365 Family, people sharing the subscription also lose benefits and reduced storage applies to them too

If support cannot locate the charge under any accessible Microsoft account, one accepted support path is to work with Microsoft billing support first, and if the charge is truly unauthorized and not tied to an accessible account, contact the card issuer to dispute it.
