For a Bluetooth printer in Windows 11, try these steps in order:
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on the PC:
- Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
- Turn on the Bluetooth toggle.
- Make sure the printer is in pairing mode and within range of the PC.
- Move the printer closer to the PC.
- Remove and re-add the printer/device:
- Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
- Find the printer, select More options (...) > Remove device.
- Then select Add device and add the printer again.
- Turn Bluetooth off and back on:
- Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
- Turn Bluetooth off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it on again.
- Try pairing again.
- Restart the PC:
- Select Start > Power > Restart.
- Check for Windows updates:
- Select Start > Settings > Windows Update.
- Select Check for updates and install any available updates.
- For the printer itself, also check:
- The printer is powered on.
- If it is wireless, its wireless option is turned on.
- If it is a Bluetooth printer, Bluetooth is enabled on both the printer and the PC.
- If the printer still is not found or recognized, restart the Print Spooler service:
- Press Windows key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Find Print Spooler.
- Right-click Print Spooler and select Restart.
One important note: some printers do not support Bluetooth printing and must be set up over Wi-Fi instead.
