It sounds like Windows is detecting the controller as a generic Android/ShanWan gamepad instead of an Xbox 360 controller.
Try:
- Disconnect the controller.
- Open Device Manager.
- Uninstall any Android Gamepad, ShanWan, or unknown controller entries (check Delete driver if available).
- Restart the PC.
- Reconnect the controller.
If it still shows as an Android/ShanWan device, test it on another PC. If the same thing happens there, the controller itself may have developed a fault or switched modes. Since it's only 4 months old, you may also want to check the seller's warranty options.
