    Hi,

Based on the version you mentioned, Teams Rooms on Android app 1449/1.0.96.2026142702, this appears to be the July 2026 Teams Rooms on Android release. From the information currently available in Microsoft's release notes, the update includes improvements related to log collection, diagnostic logging, display behavior during town halls and webinars, as well as a fix for a call-ending crash. However, I have not found any documented fixes or known issues specifically related to HDMI content sharing on Poly/HP Studio X30, X50, or X70 devices.

With that in mind, I would suggest the following checks to help narrow down the cause of the issue:

1/ Verify that both the Teams Rooms app and device firmware are up to date:

To begin with, please check the device details in the Teams Admin Center and confirm that both the Teams Rooms application and the Poly/HP firmware are running the latest supported versions.

While the Poly Studio X30, X50, and X70 are certified for Teams Rooms on Android, HDMI content sharing functionality relies on both the Teams Rooms application and the device manufacturer's firmware. Therefore, ensuring version compatibility is an important first step.

2/ Perform a full restart of the room system:

Next, I recommend performing a complete restart of the room setup:

    • Power off the Poly device and touch controller.
    • Disconnect power for approximately 30 seconds.
    • Reconnect power and allow the system to fully boot up and sign back in to Teams.
    • Once the room is operational again, test HDMI sharing both inside and outside a Teams meeting.

A full restart can often resolve temporary communication issues between the Teams application and the device firmware.

3/ Confirm whether HDMI input is detected locally:

It would also be helpful to determine whether the room system is detecting HDMI input independently of Teams meetings.

    To test this:

    • Connect a known working laptop directly to the HDMI input on the Poly device.
    • If available, try a different HDMI cable and a second laptop as well.
    • Check whether the device recognizes the HDMI source locally.

If the HDMI input is not detected at all, the issue may be related to the device firmware, HDMI ingest functionality, or hardware rather than the Teams meeting experience itself.

4/ Check for available Poly/HP firmware updates:

In addition, please verify whether newer firmware is available for the affected Poly Studio X devices.

Manufacturers frequently release updates that address compatibility, performance, and content-sharing issues, so installing the latest supported firmware may help resolve the problem.

5/ Work with your IT administrator or support team:

If the issue continues after completing the steps above, I would recommend involving your IT administrator so they can conduct a deeper investigation.

If appropriate, they can open a support request through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center by following this guide: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn and provide diagnostic logs for further analysis. If you're unsure who your Microsoft 365 administrator is, Microsoft provides guidance on how to identify the administrator associated with your organization here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.

Finally, if the problem began immediately after the Teams Rooms application update and is affecting multiple Poly/HP room systems, it may be worthwhile to engage both Microsoft Support and HP/Poly Support. Since HDMI ingest functionality depends on the interaction between the Teams Rooms Android application and the OEM firmware, collaboration between both support teams can often help identify the underlying cause more efficiently.

I hope this information points you in the right direction. Please feel free to share any additional findings or updates, and I'll be happy to assist further.

    Kind regards,
