Additional settings-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hello @Haakon,
Thank you for providing the screenshot. I understand how inconvenient it is to configure your personal Teams preferences again every time you sign in.
Because this behavior occurs while using Teams in Google Chrome, I recommend checking whether Chrome is preventing Teams from retaining the necessary browser data.
Please go to Chrome Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Third-party cookies. If "Block third-party cookies" is currently selected, temporarily choose "Allow third-party cookies", close and reopen Chrome, and then configure your Teams preferences again to see whether they are retained.
Next, clear the Chrome browser cache:
- Open Chrome Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data.
- Select Cached images and files. You may also select Cookies and other site data, but please note that this will sign you out of websites currently open in Chrome.
- Choose "All time" as the time range, and then select Delete data.
- Close Chrome completely, reopen it, and sign in to Teams again.
- Configure your Teams preferences and check whether they remain after signing out and signing back in.
It would also be helpful to temporarily disable any Chrome extensions that manage cookies, block advertisements, or provide privacy protection. These extensions can sometimes remove or block the site data that web applications use to remember user preferences.
If the settings still return to their defaults, please test Teams in "Microsoft Edge" or "Mozilla Firefox". Configure the same preferences, sign out, and then sign back in.
If Edge or Firefox retains the settings correctly, while Chrome continues to reset them, this would indicate that the issue is most likely related to the Chrome configuration, browser profile, or installed extensions.
Please share the results when convenient so the behavior can be narrowed down further.
Kind regards,
