    Hi Jean Leano,

I understand that the message is reported as 37 MB even though you intended to send only a WeTransfer link.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access your mailbox or examine the message directly.

The Q&A Assist suggestions are appropriate. Have you had a chance to try creating a completely new message as suggested?

I would also like to add that, if the message was created by replying to or forwarding another email, large inline images or attachments from the earlier conversation may still be included. Please start a new message, temporarily remove your signature, and manually paste only the WeTransfer link. If that message sends successfully, the additional size came from content retained in the original message.

If a new message still appears as 37 MB, contact Outlook.com Support:

    1. Go to Outlook.com and sign in.
    2. Select the Help icon, the question mark, in the upper-right corner.
    3. In the Help pane that opens, search for "cannot receive emails", then press Enter.
    4. Scroll down the page until you see "Still need help?", click Yes.
    5. Choose "Chat with a support agent in your web browser."
    6. Review the issue description and confirm an email address you can access.
    7. Click Confirm to create the service request. The screen will indicate that your request has been submitted and the system is connecting you to Outlook.com live chat support, which may take a moment to load.

Contact options may vary depending on availability. The official instructions are available under How to get support for Outlook.com.

I hope Outlook.com Support can determine why the message is being calculated as 37 MB.

The error in the screenshot is that the message is too large: the limit is 35 MB, and the message is 37 MB.

Even without a file attached, a message can still exceed the limit if it includes large content such as a rich email body, embedded images, or link-preview content.

    Try these fixes:

    1. Create a new email instead of resending the failed one.
    2. Remove anything extra from the message body, especially:
      • pasted images
      • signatures with images or logos
      • long formatted content
    3. If the message was saved in Drafts, open it and simplify the content before sending.
    4. If the message still fails, delete that draft and create a shorter plain message with only the WeTransfer link.
    5. If available, send the link without additional formatting or embedded content.

If the message is being held because it is too large, Outlook may keep it in Drafts until the size is reduced.
