Hi Lynn Darby,
I understand how frustrating this must be, especially since the printer was working before the power outage.
Since your other Canon printer can still print normally, the issue may be limited to the PIXMA TR8620’s Wi-Fi connection or its connection with Windows 11. Could you please confirm:
- Does the TR8620 appear as Offline or show any error under Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners?
- Can you print to the TR8620 from another device, such as a phone or another computer?
In the meantime, please try these steps:
- Turn off the TR8620 and unplug it for about 30 seconds. Restart your router as well, then turn the printer back on.
- Make sure the printer and your Windows 11 PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If your router has separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network names, please check that both devices are using the appropriate network.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Canon TR8620, open the print queue, and cancel any stuck print jobs.
- Search for Services in Windows, open it, right-click Print Spooler, and select Restart.
- Run the printer troubleshooter through the Get Help app.
- If the issue continues, remove the TR8620 from Printers & scanners, restart the PC and then add the printer again.
The 46% Wi-Fi reading may also suggest that the printer’s wireless connection is not very strong. If possible, try moving the printer closer to the router temporarily to see whether that makes a difference.
While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
