For Windows 11, use this order:

    1. Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter in the Get Help app: Run the troubleshooter in Get Help.
    2. Check that Bluetooth is turned on:
      • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
      • Turn Bluetooth on.
    3. Make sure the earphones are in pairing mode, charged, and close to the PC.
    4. If the earphones appear in the Bluetooth list but will not connect, remove and add them again:
      • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
      • Find the earphones and select More options (...) > Remove device.
      • Select Add device, then select the earphones from the list.
    5. Restart Bluetooth:
      • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
      • Turn Bluetooth off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it on again.
    6. Install Windows updates:
      • Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update.
      • Select Check for updates and install any available updates.
    7. Restart the PC:
      • Go to Start > Power > Restart.
    8. If Bluetooth is missing entirely, confirm the PC actually supports Bluetooth in its product specifications.

For Bluetooth audio devices specifically, also make sure sound is playing through the earphones after pairing:

    • Open Settings > System > Sound.
    • Under Choose where to play sound, select the Bluetooth earphones.

    1

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

    Go to System - Troubleshoot

    Click 'Other Troubleshooters'

Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter from the resulting page

Check if Bluetooth is then working

    2

If not, open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

At the top of Device Manager, choose View - Show Hidden Devices

Does that show hidden Bluetooth device(s)

if so, right click and uninstall that

    Restart your PC

Check if Bluetooth is then working

    3

If Bluetooth is still not working, go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and install the Bluetooth drivers they recommend.

If you have any difficulty locating that support page, click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.
