Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello Blu S,
I understand that you were charged today for a Premium subscription that your Microsoft account shows as paid on August 1, and you would like the payment refunded.
I recommend trying the following:
- First, please confirm whether this is actually a duplicate charge or whether the August 1 payment was only processed by your bank today. Sign in to Microsoft order history using the Microsoft account used for the purchase. Find the Premium subscription and check whether the August 1 payment and today’s charge are separate completed transactions.
- If Request a refund appears beside the order, select it and follow the prompts. Refund availability depends on the product and purchase terms.
- If this is a recurring pass, also check Services & subscriptions, select Manage, then cancel or turn off recurring billing to prevent another charge. See more: How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.
If no refund option appears, please contact Microsoft Support so they can review the charge and check whether it is eligible for a refund. Since this is a user-to-user community forum, we can only share suggestions based on our findings and personal experiences. We cannot access your account, view the transaction, or process a refund from here.
Here's how to reach out to the Support Team (live chat):
- Go to: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact
- In the search box, enter a short description of your issue.
- Hit "Get Help"
- Scroll down and select Sign in to contact support for further assistance (please sign in using a personal Microsoft account). Then follow the on-screen prompts to reach Support Team.
Tip: Support chat availability may vary by country/region, product, and support hours. If you can't get in touch with a chat agent right away, trying again later or at a different time may help.
Hopefully your concerns will soon be addressed. Thank you so much for your patience!
Best regards.
