How to Fix (Windows 11 cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for audio device problem) ROG G731GW laptop
Hi. At my ROG G731GW Laptop, after last Windows 11 update, windows say no audio device is installed (see img 1 and 2)
Reinstall audio drivers not working, windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device.
But when i run windows in advanced mode (no check digital signature) no problem with Audio Device (see img 3)
Thanks

The audio driver package may be corrupted, or the catalog file could be missing.

Recommended order:
- Install all pending Windows updates and restart
- Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update.
- Select Check for updates.
- Install everything available, including optional driver updates if offered.
- Restart the laptop.
- Update the audio driver from Device Manager
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click the audio device and select Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart after the update.
- If that does not help, uninstall and reinstall the audio driver
- In Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click the audio device and select Uninstall device.
- If the uninstall dialog shows Attempt to remove the driver for this device, select it.
- Select Uninstall.
- Restart the PC. Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
- Save open work first, because this step requires a restart.
- Install the latest OEM audio driver for the ROG G731GW
- Go to the laptop manufacturer’s support site.
- Search for ROG G731GW.
- Download and install the latest Windows 11 audio driver.
- Restart the PC.
- This is especially relevant after a Windows update, because generic drivers do not always resolve post-update audio failures.
- If Windows says the best driver is already installed, try the built-in generic audio driver
- In Device Manager, right-click the audio device.
- Select Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
- Select the available audio device driver and continue with Next.
- Restart and test audio.
- If the issue started immediately after Windows Update, roll back the audio driver
- In Device Manager, right-click the audio device.
- Select Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver.
- Follow the prompts.
- If audio still fails, restart the audio services
- Search for services and open it.
- Restart these services:
- Windows Audio
- Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
- Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
- If the problem began after a recent update and rollback is unavailable, use System Restore
- Restore the PC to a restore point created before the update.
Do not keep using Windows with signature enforcement disabled as a normal workaround. That mode only bypasses the check temporarily and does not fix the underlying driver problem.
