Hello,

I recently received a notification in Microsoft Excel stating that my educational license will soon be deactivated. However, I am still actively enrolled in a master’s degree program at the UOC and require continued access to Microsoft 365 applications to complete my academic work.

The university has advised me that Microsoft manages these licenses. Could you please review my account and help restore or extend my educational license?

Continued access is essential for my studies, so I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

Assuming your Microsoft Office is licensed via UOC.

You have to check with UOC IT admin managing their Microsoft student subscriptions.

Have them check if they have disabled your license by mistake, or whether they have changed any of their backend arrangements with Microsoft (like deciding to move from Microsoft to Goggle for instance) that may impact your student use license.

    Warm Regards

    Dear Ava Bell,

Thank you for reaching out, and I understand how important continued access to Microsoft 365 is for your studies.

Educational Microsoft 365 licenses are typically assigned and managed by the educational institution rather than by Microsoft directly. While Microsoft provides the licensing platform, eligibility and license renewal are generally determined by your university's Microsoft 365 administrators. It is also worth noting that some educational institutions automatically remove or deactivate Microsoft 365 Education licenses when a student graduates, becomes inactive, or is no longer recognized as eligible under the institution's enrollment records.

Since you are currently enrolled in a master's degree program, I recommend contacting your university's IT administrator and asking them to verify:

    1. Go to Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. In the Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products.
    3. The Your products page will show you all your subscriptions along with details like product name, assigned licenses, and subscription status.

Note: These are the steps intended for IT administrators

If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your school account's organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

I hope this information helps clarify your concern. If your IT admin confirms that your enrollment is still active and the appropriate Microsoft 365 Education license is assigned to your account, but you continue to receive the deactivation notice, please let me know.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Hope you having a nice day and really much warm regards to you as well.
