Microsoft 365 did not update storage in outlook

Microsoft 365 subscription did not update storage in outlook. Still only shows 5GB instead of 100GB.

The 5 GB figure may be the free Microsoft cloud-storage allowance, not the Outlook mailbox limit. An active Microsoft 365 consumer subscription should provide 100 GB of Outlook.com mailbox storage, but the benefit must be applied to the same Microsoft account used in Outlook.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Sign in to Services & subscriptions and confirm the subscription shows as Active under the exact account used for Outlook. If it was purchased through another account, the storage will not transfer automatically.

In Outlook.com, select Settings > General > Storage. Check whether the 5 GB appears under Microsoft storage or Email storage, since these are separate quotas.

If this is a Microsoft 365 Family subscription, confirm that the subscription owner shared it with this account and that the invitation was accepted. Each person has a separate quota. Allow up to 24 hours for the new quota to appear. If it still has not updated after 48 hours, contact https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact while signed in with the affected account.
