Now we are tracking tyty. I have added the new address and was notified I must wait 30 days for the new one to take effect. I tested an incoming shared file and it says no go. HOWEVER, I was just able to get in. Maybe I just had to wait....... longer for something to click into place. Hopefully that is it. Thanks for your help. I will hold on to this link. Thanks, Steve.

    You're welcome, Steve.

Glad to hear you were able to get in.

We both confirmed that you were trying to replace the old @arculus.net sign-in with your Gmail address on the same Microsoft account. You were able to add the Gmail address, and Microsoft then placed the account change under a 30-day pending period.

You also tested access with a shared file, and it is now working.

At this point, I would leave the account as it is and allow the pending period to complete. I would also avoid removing the old address until the process is finished and you have confirmed the new address works normally for sign-in.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for responding.

    Yes, for gmail.

I have literally purchased tens of thousands of dollars of MicroSoft software/services, since 1985, but now can't seem to get an answer to my one simple question.

I had a GoDaddy domain arculus.net for about 18 years then somehow which was able to be determined corrupted and unusable. They had done a great job but it couldn't be fixed, so, I changed to gmail.

So it went from ******@arculus.net to ******@gmail.com.

I cannot get this changed when I log into microsoft in any manner without running into "not accepted" or an endless loop.

    Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Steve
