I have registered to get 365, however in 2020 the organization was granted a licence or products to the previous director. This was in the VLC system, which is defunct since 2024. How would I find out if that license is still valid and if that would affect my request through Tech Soup for a new license to use 365.

    HI Ilka Villarreal

Since the old VLSC portal has been retired, and any remaining Volume Licensing information is now managed through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. You can sign in to the organization's tenant and check Billing > Your Products to see any existing licenses or agreements.

If you cannot find the licenses there or do not have access to the correct tenant, you'll need to contact Microsoft Volume Licensing Support for assistance locating the old licensing records. (Contact Volume Licensing Support | Microsoft Learn)

For your detailed information: Manage Volume Licensing Agreements | Microsoft Learn

    I hope this information helps.
