    Hello,

You can try manual upgrade using Windows 11 25H2 ISO file.

    Follow these steps:

Download Windows 11 25H2 ISO from the official Microsoft website.

Double click on it to mount it to a DVD drive.

Then go to DVD drive, double click on setup.exe to proceed.

Follow on-screen instructions to complete upgrade.

Error 0x80073712 usually means a file needed by Windows Update is damaged or missing.

For a Windows 11 Home device on 25H2, use this order:

    1. Run the Windows Update troubleshooter
      • Open the Get Help app and run the Windows Update troubleshooter.
      • This can automatically diagnose and fix common update problems.
    2. Repair the component store
      • Open Command Prompt as administrator.
      • Run:
             DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

      • This is the documented fix for 0x80073712.
    3. If the failed update was installed from a shared folder or .msu file
      • There is a known issue in Windows 11 25H2 where WUSA or double-clicking a .msu from a network share containing multiple .msu files can fail.
      • Save the .msu file locally on the device and install it from there instead.
      • After restart, wait at least 15 minutes before checking Settings > Windows Update > Update history, because the restart-required message can be temporary.
    4. Install the latest cumulative update
      • The WUSA shared-folder issue was resolved by updates released March 24, 2026 (KB5079391) and later.
      • Installing the latest security update includes that fix.
    5. If the update still fails
      • A repair reinstall is the next supported path. In Microsoft Q&A examples for persistent 0x80073712 on Windows 11, the accepted resolution was:
        • Go to Settings > System > Recovery
        • Under Fix problems using Windows Update, select Reinstall now
      • This repairs Windows while keeping files, apps, and settings.

If the failure is specifically happening through normal Windows Update and not from a shared-folder .msu, steps 1, 2, and 5 are the relevant ones.
