I am being charged for Microsoft 365 Business Basic.

I cannot find the subscription under my personal Microsoft account.

I do not remember creating any work or school account.

I have the renewal email and the Tenant ID.

Please help me cancel the subscription and stop future charges.

    Dear @Wilson Emma,

Based on your description, kindly try these steps:

1> Try the commercial admin portal

    Open the https://admin.microsoft.com.

Try the email address that received the renewal notice.

If prompted to choose an account type, select Work or school account.

After signing in, go to: Billing > Your products > Microsoft 365 Business Basic

Select the subscription, then choose one of the following:

    Cancel subscription, if available.

Turn off recurring billing, if immediate cancellation is unavailable.

2> If that email cannot be used to access M365 admin center, try to search for any attached invoice email from Microsoft. For example:

    • onmicrosoft.com
    • “Welcome to Microsoft 365”
    • “Microsoft Online Services”
    • “Your trial has started”
    • “Microsoft 365 Business Basic”
    • “admin center”

If you still cannot find the business account, please contact the Data Protection Team for further assistance. This issue can only be resolved by having a support ticket with them.

You can contact the Data Protection Team at the service phone number via this link: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support.

The main objective is to go through the IVR (automated system) until you reach a live agent and emphasize this very important security factor. Please help me try this script below, this is a commonly used script for authentication issues to bypass IVR, but you can try to see if it helps get through the system. Please help me to speak loudly, only keywords, clearly and patiently waiting for the machine's response. First, when you call the hotline, they will ask you what kind of problem you are facing with.

    Answer: Authenticator.
A: What products do you use?
    B: Office 365 for business.
    Verification: Education or corporate account?
    B: For companies
    A: Are you an administrator?
    B: Yes.
A: Are there other administrators in your organization?
    B: No.
A: I need one.... Service request?
    B: Yes

During the call, you must provide information related to the subscription, such as your company name, billing history, phone number, and alternate email address. This information helps data protection teams verify identities and securely regain access to administrator accounts.

After regain the access, please proceed step 1.

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction. Please try the steps above and let me know if they work. If not, we can continue working together to narrow this down.

The first response may not always resolve the issue right away, but with your help and more details, we can work toward a solution.
