Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
I am very sorry that you have already spent so many hours trying to restore a setup that worked reliably for years. I understand how disruptive and frustrating this must be, especially when you depend on Classic Outlook to manage your email, contacts, calendar, and Zoom meetings in one place.
Since the Zoom meetings still appear correctly in Google Calendar, Zoom seems to be creating the events successfully. The issue is more likely related to the Google Workspace calendar not syncing properly with Classic Outlook on the new computer.
If this is a company-managed Google Workspace account, please check with your Google Workspace administrator whether Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook (GWSMO) is supported and enabled for your account. GWSMO is designed to synchronize Google Workspace email, calendar, and contacts with Classic Outlook.
If GWSMO is already installed, please try re-syncing only the calendar data:
- Select the GWSMO icon in the Windows notification area.
- Select View sync status.
- Next to Calendar, select Re-sync.
- Select Overwrite first, then start the re-sync.
Google recommends trying Overwrite first because it refreshes the local Outlook data using the information stored on Google's servers while preserving certain Outlook-specific data. Use Delete and re-sync only if Overwrite does not resolve the issue, as that option may remove information stored only in the local Outlook profile.
If GWSMO is not installed, please do not delete your current Outlook profile yet. First, back up any contacts or calendar items stored only on the computer. Then ask your Google Workspace administrator to help install GWSMO and create the appropriate Classic Outlook profile on the new computer.
