    Hi n,

I understand that your Microsoft account was compromised and that you have lost access to the account and the game progress linked to it.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access accounts, verify ownership, restore account data, or change security information.

The Q&A Assist answer provides the appropriate official recovery steps for a compromised Microsoft account. Have you had a chance to try the Sign-in Helper and account recovery form provided in that answer?

I would like to add that, if those recovery options do not resolve the issue, you can try contacting Microsoft Support:

1, Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support

2, In the search bar provided on the page, type "Account recovery" and press Enter.

3, Click on the "Get Help" button that appears.

4, Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.

5, When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products".

6, For the category, choose "Manage account security".

7, Look for and click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

8, Confirm your personal email when prompted - this is the email Microsoft will use to communicate with you during and after the support session.

9, When connected, clearly explain your situation. Be concise but include all relevant details.

The available contact options may vary depending on the selected issue, product, support hours, region, and subscription. Please be aware that support agents cannot bypass ownership verification, manually send a password-reset link, or directly change account details.

I hope this helps you reach the appropriate support channel and determine the next step for recovering the account.

Use the official hacked-account recovery path immediately:

    1. Start the Microsoft hacked-account recovery process and use the Sign-in Helper. It asks for the email address or phone number and either shows self-help steps or may offer the chance to talk to an agent.
    2. If the original sign-in address now shows “We couldn't find an account with that username” or “account doesn't exist”, use the Sign-in Helper for that scenario.
    3. If access is still blocked, complete the Microsoft account recovery form using a working email address that can receive the result.
    4. When filling out the recovery form, include as much account history as possible. Helpful details can include old passwords, Outlook/Hotmail contacts and exact email subject lines, Skype details, or Xbox console hardware ID if that account used those services.
    5. After submitting the recovery form, the result is sent to the working email within 24 hours. If the account is not verified, the form can be retried up to two times per day.

    Important limits:

    • If two-step verification was turned on and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, support agents cannot send password reset links or change account details.
    • Microsoft support and advocates are not allowed to send password reset links or access and change account details.
    • If the account has not been signed in to for more than two years, it may have been deleted and cannot be reopened.
    • Similar Microsoft Q&A cases indicate that when a hacker changes the sign-in alias and recovery information, recovery may no longer be possible if the official recovery process cannot verify ownership.

If the account is recovered, immediately:

    1. Run a full antivirus or malware scan on the PC before changing the password.
    2. Change or reset the password.
    3. Review account settings such as connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies.
    4. Check Security basics and Recent activity for unusual sign-ins, and use This wasn't me or Secure your account where available.
