    Hi Felix Donkor,

I understand that legitimate emails are repeatedly being sent to the Junk Email folder in Outlook.com, despite your previous attempts to correct it.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access your mailbox or review the filtering applied to individual messages.

The Q&A Assist answer provides the correct initial Outlook.com checks. Have you had a chance to try the steps that apply to Outlook.com, particularly marking an affected message as It’s not junk, checking Blocked senders, and adding the exact sender address to Safe senders?

I would also like to add the following:

    1. Please confirm whether this happens with emails from one particular sender or with multiple unrelated senders. If it affects only certain senders, ask one of them to verify that their sending domain is correctly configured and that the message is not being sent through an unusual bulk-mail service.
    2. If different legitimate senders continue to be affected after completing the Outlook.com checks, open Outlook.com and select Help on the menu bar. Describe the issue, review the suggested results, then scroll to Still need help? and select Yes to contact Outlook.com support. This allows the issue to be reviewed with mailbox-specific information that cannot be accessed through the forum. How to get support for Outlook.com | Microsoft Support

For reference, see Mail goes to the Junk folder by mistake.

I hope this helps clarify the next steps and identify why legitimate messages continue to be directed to the Junk Email folder.

For Outlook.com, the most effective checks are:

    1. Open the Junk Email folder and mark affected messages as It’s not junk or Not junk.
    2. Go to Settings > Mail > Junk email.
      • Under Safe senders and domains, add the sender address or domain.
      • Check Blocked senders and remove any sender that was blocked by mistake.
    3. Go to Settings > Mail > Rules and look for any rule that moves or deletes mail from those senders.
    4. Check whether messages are being sent somewhere else:
      • Deleted Items
      • Archive
      • the Other tab
    5. If a message was moved by another mail app, use Outlook.com or a Microsoft mail app to mark it as Not junk.
    6. If mail is going straight to Deleted Items, verify both of these:
      • the sender is not in Blocked senders
      • there is no inbox rule matching that sender or a keyword in the message

For classic Outlook on Windows, also check the local junk filter settings:

    1. Select Home > Block > Junk Email Options.
    2. Review the filter behavior.
    3. If enabled, clear Permanently delete suspected junk e-mail instead of moving it to the Junk E-mail folder.

    Important notes:

    • Messages in the Junk folder are automatically deleted after 10 to 30 days depending on the Outlook experience described in the support articles.
    • In classic Outlook, the Junk Email Filter moves suspected spam to Junk Email; it does not stop delivery.
