Hello, dan Fennelly.
I understand you. Back on Windows 10, I disabled OneDrive after losing a lot of data as a result of its operation. On Windows 11, I also disabled...
The procedure:
- In the Onedrive application settings, disable all synchronization and disable startup with OS startup.
- In the Task Manager, on the "Startup" tab, disable OneDrive.
- In the Task Scheduler-Scheduler Library, disable all tasks related to OneDrive.
- Restart your PC and make sure that everything is in order with the local files that were previously used and synced by OneDrive. If everything is fine, delete the OneDrive application from the PC through the OS settings "Settings-Applications-Installed applications".
Notes. Before performing the actions, I recommend making sure that the synchronization is fully completed and there are no files currently syncing. You can continue to use OneDrive as a regular cloud storage via the web interface.: https://onedrive.live.com/
