Trying to pair my Roku TV with my PC so I can cast to the TV from the PC, but having a heck of a time! The PC doesn't detect the TV and I can't use the link that was sent on the TV, as with Roku, there is no address bar anywhere. I've tried installing a few web browsers on the TV, but none of them have an address bar either, just a search. Also, I don't own a cell phone so I can't scan the QR code. HEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPP!!!!!!!!!

From Roku: How to screen mirror from your phone, tablet, or computer to your Roku streaming device

You can chat with Roku technical support on the same page.

    Hi Chris Preusche,

I can understand why this has been frustrating, especially when the link and QR code are not usable in your situation. The good news is that you normally do not need either of them to mirror a Windows 11 PC to a Roku TV.

Using the Roku remote, please go to Settings > System > Screen mirroring and check that Screen mirroring mode is set to Prompt or Always allow. Then make sure the Roku TV and PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. On the PC, press Windows key + K, select the Roku TV if it appears and approve the connection prompt on the TV.

If the Roku TV is still missing from the list, try restarting the PC, Roku TV, and router, then check for software updates on both devices. Please also let us know:

    • What is the exact model of the Roku TV?
    • Has this PC ever detected or connected to the TV before?
    • Does another wireless display appear when you press Windows key + K?

If available, you can also open Command Prompt, run netsh wlan show drivers, and check whether Wireless Display Supported or Miracast is shown as supported. Please do not post the full command output, as it may contain network details. Just let us know whether it says supported or not.

If the Roku model or PC does not support Miracast, a wired HDMI connection may be the most practical alternative. Thank you so much for your understanding.
