I have an HP Pavilion x360 14-dw1036TU (2R2H3PA) that was sold with Microsoft Office Home & Student included. The laptop has an “Includes Microsoft Office Home & Student” sticker. However, Word currently shows “Product Activation Failed” and is installed as Microsoft Office LTSC Standard 2021, which requires corporate activation. My Microsoft personal account does not show an Office Home & Student license or subscription. I want to activate the Office Home & Student license that came with my HP laptop using my personal Microsoft account. How can I recover or activate the bundled license?

When Office worked on the PC, which version was that? Is it possible that some installation of Office LTSC was the one you actually used, because it was preinstalled? It happens that these types of licenses work for a while, until they stop working, at the time when Microsoft detects an invalid license and revokes it.

Is this a brand new laptop, not a pre-owned laptop and if so, where did you purchase that HP laptop from, is that direct from HP or from an online retailer?

Open the Store app, at the top of that app, is there an 'Included with this device' section indicating Office Home and Student is included on the device?
