Over the last 6 months, my outlook.com email address has been overrun with spam and junk email. I've had this email address for years and never had problems with it when it was a Cox Communications POP3 Server. Cox Communication turned over cox.net emails to Yahoo so it is now on the Yahoo server. I spend more time clearing the junk and spam folder of emails than I do reading any needed emails. I've tried blocking the domains but the emails just come back with a different domain. How do I stop these emails? Should I just change my email address?

Unfortunately, e-mail protocol is very old (50+ years) and unsafe. So, there is no other way in your situation but to create and use new e-mail address.

As a workaround you may try to redirect your mail to another e-mail server with stricter spam detection.
