Hard power reset (not just power button)
You must fully drain the device:
- Turn the printer OFF
- Unplug the power cable
- Wait 60 seconds
- Plug it back in
- Turn it ON

MFP-M527 printer will not scan or copy. I have powered it "off" to reboot it. The message state "THE DEVICE
HAS DETECTED A PROBLEM" SCANNER FAILURE (30.01.41)

Turn off the printer.
Unplug the mains power cable on the printer for 60 seconds
Reconnect the printer to mains electricity
Start the printer again and test if you can use the scanner.
If not, completely uninstall the printer from your PC and restart your PC.
Then go to the support page for your printer on the HP website to download and install the printer drivers, firmware and associated software they provide for your printer model.
