Using the New Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
Hello Paul Peters,
I understand that after the recent Outlook for Mac update, sent messages appear as blank drafts and other mailbox content seems to have disappeared.
Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access your mailbox or investigate the update directly.
Before changing or reinstalling Outlook, please sign in to your email provider’s webmail and check whether the original messages, recipients, and content are still present there. Also, please clarify:
- Is this an Outlook.com/Hotmail account or another provider such as Gmail or iCloud?
- Under Outlook > About Outlook, what version and build number are displayed?
- Does the same problem appear in webmail?
Please avoid deleting the affected drafts or removing the Outlook profile for now. Because the behavior started directly after an update, report it from Outlook through Help > Contact Support and include the build number and screenshots with personal information hidden. Outlook for Mac provides this in-app support route for reporting issues and collecting relevant logs. Contact support within Outlook for Mac
I hope these checks help determine whether the mailbox data is intact and allow the issue to be investigated safely.
