I originally had two Outlook.com addresses, j<removed PII>@outlook.com and i<removed PII>@outlook.com. The j<removed PII>ng mailbox contained my historical data. After a recent change, signing in with i<removed PII>******@outlook.com shows the j<removed PII>ng mailbox and data, and the original i<removed PII>t mailbox can no longer be located.

    Hi John,

This usually happens when both Outlook addresses are now aliases of the same Microsoft account. If so, signing in with either address will open the same mailbox.

    Check this first:

    1. Go to account.live.com/names/manage
    2. Sign in and review the aliases.
    3. See whether both addresses are listed and which one is marked as primary.

If both are listed, they now point to the same mailbox.

If ******@outlook.com is not listed, try signing into it separately in an InPrivate/Incognito window. If Microsoft cannot find the account, use the Microsoft Sign-in Helper or account recovery process.

One important point: do not remove either Outlook.com alias while testing. Removing an Outlook.com alias can permanently delete that address.

If you confirm whether both addresses appear on the alias page, the next step will be much clearer.
