    Hi,
I’m Dyari. Thanks for reaching out.

The simplest method is to connect the laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable, then press Windows key + P and select Duplicate.

To connect wirelessly, enable Screen Mirroring on the TV. On the laptop, press Windows key + K > Select the TV from the list.
To verify Wireless Display is supported, click Start > Open Command Prompt, run: netsh wlan show drivers

Then share the line that says:
Wireless Display Supported: Yes (Graphics Driver: Yes, Wi-Fi Driver: Yes)

If the TV does not appear, please provide the TV’s brand and exact model, your laptop’s manufacturer and model. Click Start, Type System Information > Screenshot and post it back.

Read the User Manual for your laptop. If your laptop will mirror or cast to your TV it should tell you how to do it. You can try a right click on the movie/video if you have it on your computer, then click on more options, and look for cast to device. See example image below. Is your TV on your network?

    If the TV supports Miracast:

    1. Turn on the TV.
    2. If using a Miracast dongle or wireless display adapter, make sure it is plugged into the TV and powered.
    3. On the laptop, press Windows key + K.
    4. Select the TV or wireless display adapter from the list.
    5. Follow any on-screen prompts.

If using a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter:

    1. Plug the adapter’s HDMI end into the TV.
    2. Plug the adapter’s USB end into a USB charging port on the TV, or a standard USB Type-A charger with 5W (5V/1A) power.
    3. Set the TV input to HDMI.
    4. On the laptop, press Windows key + K.
    5. Select the adapter name shown on the TV.

To change how the picture shows after connecting, press Windows key + P and choose:

    • Duplicate to show the same thing on the laptop and TV
    • Extend to use the TV as a second screen
    • Second screen only to show everything only on the TV

If the TV does not appear:

    • Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on on the laptop.
    • Make sure the TV or adapter supports Miracast and is turned on.
    • On Windows 10, the Connect app can be used to check whether the PC supports Miracast: select Start, type Connect, and open it.
    • If using a wireless display adapter, make sure Windows is fully updated.
