Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello Adams Claire,
Microsoft 365 Business Basic is managed separately from Microsoft 365 Personal or Family. When the Business Basic subscription was created, a Microsoft 365 tenant and an administrator account were also normally created. That administrator account may end in onmicrosoft.com.
Please check your earlier Microsoft emails for a welcome message, order or trial confirmation, renewal notice, tenant name, or an administrator address ending in onmicrosoft.com. If you find the administrator account, use it to sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, then go to Billing > Your products > Microsoft 365 Business Basic. You can then cancel the subscription or turn off recurring billing, depending on the options shown.
Microsoft’s official instructions are available here: Cancel your Microsoft business subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center | Microsoft Learn
If you cannot identify or recover the administrator account, please contact Microsoft Support directly and provide the Tenant ID and renewal notification through their secure support channel: Contact Microsoft customer support | Microsoft Support
When calling, you may hear an introductory message lasting approximately 30 seconds, such as a suggestion to visit a support website. Please wait until the menu options are presented, then select "1" as a business email user and "1" again for technical support. Microsoft lists telephone support as an available channel for Microsoft 365 business administrators.
I also recommend calling during local business hours. Automated routing does not always work as expected, so if you cannot reach the correct support queue on the first attempt, please try again later or at a different time.
If you are certain that you did not authorize the subscription or cannot stop the recurring payment through Microsoft, you may also contact your bank to investigate the transaction and request that future unauthorized charges be blocked if necessary. Please keep in mind that blocking the payment through your bank does not cancel the Microsoft subscription itself, so contacting Microsoft Support is still recommended.
I hope this information helps you locate the appropriate administrator account and stop future charges.
Kind regards,
