The uninstall process begins, asks for elevated privilege and runs for about 30 seconds before giving error

30015-45 (21747943792).

I have tried repairing it, same error.

I have tried Safe Mode, no difference.

I have checked the service is running

Many thanks for your help.

    Hello @David Meredith,

Good day! I hope you are doing well.

To help provide the most accurate and effective solution for your issue, could you share a bit more detail about your setup:

    • Which version of Windows are you using (Windows 10 or Windows 11), and what is the current OS build version?
    • Was Office originally installed using an online installer, offline installer, or deployed through your organization's management tools (such as Intune, Configuration Manager, etc.)?
    • Are there any other Office versions currently installed on the device, including older versions such as Office 2016, 2019, or 2021?
    • What tools did you use to uninstall your Office apps (from Windows Settings, Control Panel, Microsoft's uninstall troubleshooter,...)?
    • Is this your personal device or it is managed by your organization?

This additional context will help understand your environment and the steps already taken so we can tailor the guidance to resolve the issue effectively.

In the meantime, here are some basic checks you can try:

    1. Restart the device and attempt the uninstall again while signed in with a local or domain account that has administrative privileges.
    2. Use Task Manager to close all Office app completely.
    3. Use Microsoft's Uninstall Troubleshooter by following this instruction: Uninstall Microsoft 365 or Office from a PC | Microsoft Support
    4. Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files by following this instruction.
    5. Check whether any pending Windows updates or pending restarts exist and install/restart as needed before retrying the uninstall.

I apologize if I could not jump straight to a solution. I want to avoid suggesting anything that might be inaccurate or unhelpful. Once I have the details above, I'll be able to assist you more effectively and guide you toward the right resolution.

Looking forward to your response so we can get this sorted out for you together.
