Welcome ItascaCP,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Windows 11 can wake from Sleep to run scheduled tasks such as a Carbonite backup, provided your PC supports wake timers.
Step 1: Enable Wake Timers
- Press Windows + R, type control, and press Enter
- Select Power Options.
- Click Change plan settings next to your active power plan.
- Select Change advanced power settings
- Expand Sleep >Allow wake timers
- Set On battery and Plugged in to Enable
- Click Apply and OK.
Step 2: Configure Carbonite's Scheduled Backup
If Carbonite provides a scheduled backup option, configure the backup time for when the PC will be asleep.
Step 3: Create a Wake-Up Task (if needed)
If Carbonite does not create its own wake timer:
- Open Task Scheduler
- Select Create Task
- On the Triggers tab, create a schedule for the desired backup time
- On the Conditions tab, check Wake the computer to run this task
- Save the task.
Step 4: Verify Wake Timers
Open Command Prompt and run: powercfg /waketimers .This will show any active wake timers scheduled on the system
I hope this helps. Please let me know the results of the above tests, and I will do my best to assist further.
