Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
These are three separate account changes. If you want to keep the same Microsoft 365 Family subscription, change the existing account details rather than creating a new Microsoft account.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
Sign in to edit your Microsoft account name, select Edit name, make the change, and save it. The updated name may take up to 24 hours to appear everywhere.
To change the sign-in email while keeping the subscription and OneDrive data, add the new email as an alias, verify it, and make it the primary alias. Do not remove the old address until the new one works correctly. Aliases share the same subscriptions, storage, contacts, and password.
Go to Services and subscriptions, select Manage beside Microsoft 365 Family, then Change how you pay. If that option is missing, recurring billing may be turned off or the subscription may have been purchased through another retailer.
For live help, use Contact Microsoft Support, enter “Microsoft 365 billing,” select Get Help, then choose the available chat or callback option. Support cannot directly change protected account details for you.
