How Can I File a Formal Complaint About Microsoft 365 Data Protection Support? Failure to Assist now for more than 7 weeks

I am a small-business Microsoft 365 customer seeking the official process for filing a formal complaint about the Microsoft 365 Data Protection Team.

My administrator-access issue has remained unresolved for more than seven weeks. Multiple support cases have been opened, transferred, duplicated, or closed without a solution. Some of my messages have gone unanswered, and the only update I continue to receive is that the internal or backend team is reviewing the case. I have not received a clear explanation, an accountable case owner, or an estimated resolution date.

The lack of assistance has placed my business operations in chaos. I am not posting private account information or case numbers publicly. I simply need to know:

  1. What is Microsoft’s official formal complaint process?
  2. How can I escalate beyond the Data Protection Team to a senior manager?
  3. Is there an official complaint email, form, or mailing address for Microsoft 365 business customers?

Please do not ask me to open another general support ticket. I already have active cases and need a formal complaint and escalation channel.

    Hi,

I completely understand how inconvenient this must be, especially after more than seven weeks and multiple case transfers without a resolution. You can find Microsoft's support contact information here:

Customer service phone numbers: Contact Microsoft customer support | Microsoft Support

When speaking with the support representative, it may help to:

    • Provide your active case number(s).
    • Explain that the issue has been transferred, duplicated, or closed multiple times without being resolved.
    • Request a formal escalation and management review of the case.
    • Ask whether a dedicated case owner can be assigned to help ensure continuity and provide regular updates.

Unfortunately, the Microsoft Learn community does not have access to Microsoft's internal support systems and therefore cannot directly escalate Data Protection cases. The support organization is the appropriate channel to review the case history, coordinate escalation efforts, and help ensure the issue reaches the correct team.

I appreciate your patience throughout this process and sincerely hope your case receives the attention and resolution it deserves as quickly as possible.

Wishing you the very best in getting this resolved.
