    Hi!

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

My question to you is whether or not your account on the mentioned laptop has already been taken out of the family group but yet there are still restrictions on the laptop? Would this be the case or something else?

If Microsoft Family Safety is still being enforced on the laptop, the supported way to clear it is:

    1. Check whether the account is still in a family group:
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/family and sign in.
      • If the account is still listed in a family group, leave the group or have an organizer remove it.
      • If Remove from family group is unavailable for a child account, the organizer must first select Remove consent for this child's account, then remove the account from the family group.
    2. If the account is already out of the family group but restrictions still apply on the laptop, run the Family Safety refresh task on the device:
      • Press Windows + R.
      • Type cmd and select OK.
      • Run:
             schtasks /run /tn "Microsoft\Windows\Shell\FamilySafetyRefreshTask"

      • Restart the computer.
    3. Repeat the refresh task on each affected device.

    Important:

    • Leaving or being removed from a family group does not delete the Microsoft account.
    • Anyone leaving or removed from a family group loses access to shared products and services provided by other members, such as Microsoft 365 Family.
    • Family groups without an organizer and at least one other family member will be deleted.

If the goal is to fully erase personal data from the laptop before selling or giving it away, resetting the PC is the safest option because it removes data from the device.
