Ever since Microsoft forced me to use Outlook on my windows computer, I have not been able to Sync my calendar on my iphone with my windows computer. I followed the U Tube instructions to go to settings, apps, calendar, and add "Outlook.com" account. The acct was added, but shows up on my phone as "Yahoo". Trying again to add "Outlook.com" it says I already have an Outlook account. What can I do to get my iphone calendar to Sync with my Outlook email on my windows computer?

To be able to help you with this situation, could you please let me know if you have this Outlook account connected using Yahoo email? Also, is this calendar available on the Yahoo server, or are you able to see this information in the Calendar section? Or is the calendar you need to sync available in the iPhone calendar app and not in the Outlook app?

Calendar sync will only work if the account on the iPhone is added as an Exchange ActiveSync-supported account. IMAP and POP can sync email only, not calendar or contacts.

    Try this path:

    1. In the Outlook app on iPhone, open Calendar and tap the three lines in the upper-left.
    2. Under the email accounts list, make sure Calendar is enabled for the account.
    3. If the email address does not appear there for calendar, the account was not set up using Exchange ActiveSync. Delete that account from Outlook on the phone and add it again, making sure it is not added as IMAP.
    4. If using the iPhone built-in Calendar app, events will appear there only if they belong to an account that is synced to Outlook. If events are being added to the iPhone calendar itself, they must first be synced to iCloud, and then the iCloud account must be added to Outlook.
    5. If the goal is to sync Outlook on Windows with iPhone calendar and contacts, iCloud for Windows can be used:
      • Install iCloud for Windows.
      • Sign in with the Apple ID.
      • In the iCloud app, enable Contacts and Calendars and select Apply.
      • Open Outlook on Windows and confirm the iCloud calendars and contacts appear there.
    6. On iPhone, also verify Outlook has permission to access contacts and refresh in the background:
      • Settings > Outlook > turn on Contacts and Background App Refresh.

If the account on the phone is appearing as Yahoo, that usually indicates it was added under the wrong account type. In that case, remove that account from the phone app where it was added and re-add it using the correct Outlook/Exchange-compatible option rather than Yahoo or IMAP.
