Stolen Xbox Series X( was registered to my account)

If my registered Xbox Series X dissappears from my Device list, does this confirm theft? I was hoping on retrieving the serial number to report the theft to the authorities or use the "find my device" function to better investigate once I was able to establish an internet connection because the suspect(land lord) had illegally cut off the internet where I live. Doesn't Microsoft have any way of providing logs or history of events to better help me investigate so I can report this theft? For now I'll just have to document that this device which was previously registered has dissapeard from my device list proving theft had taken place.
