    Try this in order:

    1. On the sign-in screen, select Sign-in options and use the password instead of the PIN if that option is available.
    2. If signed in with a password, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and reset the PIN by selecting I forgot my PIN or remove and add the PIN again.
    3. If the password option is not available or sign-in still fails, restart into Safe Mode with Networking:
      • On the sign-in screen, hold Shift and select Power > Restart.
      • Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
      • After restart, press 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.
      • In Safe Mode, sign in with the password because PIN and biometrics are unavailable there.
    4. If the PIN issue started recently, after signing in, try resetting the PIN again.
    5. If fingerprint or face sign-in is also affected, use PIN or password first, then re-register the biometric sign-in method in Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

If the message specifically says the PIN is unavailable, the supported recovery path is to use the account password and then reset the PIN.
