I opened my computer this morning and I cannot do anything in any Microsoft Office programs. A message comes up saying that my subscription has been cancelled. I did not cancel my subscription and I checked my payment information and it is all correct. The card on file is active and usable. I am unsure what is going on or why this has happened. Any help in getting my subscription back up and running would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

I understand the issue you have. There is nothing to worry about. I am here to assist. Kindly try to remove the payment information you use and add it again, then subscribe back to your Office 365:

    Go to this link: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments

    Remove your payment method.

    Then select "Add payment method"

Then follow the prompts to add.

    Hello @Rick Harting

If you didn't cancel the subscription yourself, first sign in to your Microsoft account and check Services & subscriptions to see the actual status of Microsoft 365. This can help determine whether the subscription has expired, been cancelled, or has a billing issue.

Even when the card is valid, Microsoft notes that renewals can fail because of an expired payment method, declined transaction, billing-information mismatch, or other payment issue.

If the subscription shows Active online but Word/Excel still says it's cancelled, try signing out of Office and signing back in with the same Microsoft account that owns the subscription. Also check File > Account in an Office application to make sure a different account isn't being used.

If the Microsoft account itself shows the subscription as cancelled and you don't recognize the cancellation, you'll need Microsoft Support to review the subscription and billing history. This is account-specific information that community members can't access.

Avoid posting your order number, card details, or other billing information publicly in the thread.

Please "Accept the Answer" if this information helped you. This will help us and others in the community as well.
