Excel Stock Data Types frozen for Argentina Market (XBUE) since August 12, 2026

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with the native Stocks Data Types feature in Excel. The data connection for the Argentine market (XBUE) is completely frozen.

  • Symptom: Both local stocks (e.g., XBUE:PAMP2) and CEDEARs (e.g., XBUE:MSFT2) have stopped updating.
  • Exact Freeze Time: The data card shows the last valid record on 08/12/2026 at 19:59.
  • Troubleshooting done: I have forced manual updates, logged out and back into my Microsoft 365 account, and cleared the Excel cache. Other international markets (like NASDAQ or NYSE) update perfectly, which isolates the issue to the regional feed.

It seems to be a connection or telemetry drop between Microsoft's data provider (Refinitiv/LSEG) and the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (BYMA). Is anyone else experiencing this freeze or has anyone from Microsoft acknowledged this regional server issue?

Thank you.

    Hi Hernan,

As you said, yes the data provider LESG has this issue from their end. At this moment there is nothing you can do if you clicked Data > Refresh, apart from reporting the problem.

Click Help> Feedback / Contact support to report the problem, and it will be fixed. The more reports they get the earlier it is fixed.

Yes. The issue can be consistent with a provider-side or service-side refresh problem rather than a workbook problem.

    Supported facts:

    1. Excel Stocks data is provided by an external provider. For the Stocks data type and STOCKHISTORY, company data, historical data, and real-time or delayed prices are provided by LSEG Data & Analytics.
    2. XBUE is a supported exchange for Excel Stocks data, and the documented delay for Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires (XBUE) is 30 minutes.
    3. Linked data types can fail to refresh even when the workbook is otherwise fine. Excel documents that refresh errors can occur during manual refresh or automatic refresh, and automatic refresh is enabled by default.
    4. If the problem is isolated to one market while others still update, that points away from general sign-in or app-wide failure.

Based on the documented behavior and the similar reports in Microsoft Q&A, a regional or temporary server/provider issue is plausible. The available guidance is:

    1. In Excel, try right-click the linked data type cell > Data Type > Refresh for a single symbol.
    2. Then try Data > Refresh All or press Ctrl+Alt+F5.
    3. If refresh errors continue, consider turning off Automatic Refresh as a workaround so the workbook stops surfacing repeated refresh errors while retaining the last available values. Note that the data can become stale, and manual refresh will still fail until the underlying issue is resolved.
    4. Since already tried sign-out/sign-in and manual refresh, the remaining documented path from the similar reports is to use Help > Send feedback in Excel to report the market-specific outage.

The context does not show a Microsoft incident notice specific to XBUE or Argentina, so there is no documented acknowledgment available here.
