Hi Kaigh Taylor
Since the update is failing repeatedly with error 0x800700B7 rather than simply not being offered, it may help to determine where the failure occurs (download, install, first reboot, or rollback). Please check Settings > Windows Update > Update history for the exact failure entry and share any additional error details.
Also, if the build is approaching expiration and Windows Update continues to fail, review the upgrade logs:
-
C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setuperr.log -
C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log
These logs often identify the component or driver causing the upgrade failure. Similar Insider update issues have also been resolved by temporarily disconnecting non-essential USB devices and disabling third-party security software before retrying. The release notes for Build 26220.9022 also mention fixes for some upgrade rollback scenarios.
If the Insider Preview ISO site reports that you're not enrolled even though you're using the correct Microsoft account, that may be a separate account-recognition issue from the update failure itself. In that case, verify the same account is shown under Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program and consider signing out and back into both the Insider Program site and the ISO download page. The account used for the download must be recognized as enrolled in Windows Insider.
