How do i find and download a sandbox file that excel's copilot just created for me?

Dear Dusty,

If Copilot returned a path such as sandbox:/mnt/data/filename.xlsx, that is a temporary internal location rather than a folder you can browse on your computer, OneDrive, or SharePoint. Pasting it into a browser will not retrieve the file, and unfortunately the file is not accessible once the session ends. Other Microsoft 365 users have reported the same behavior, where Copilot displays the sandbox path as plain text instead of providing a working download link. Please ask Copilot again within the same conversation, requesting the output in a usable form. For example:

Please recreate the workbook and attach it to this response as a downloadable .xlsx file, rather than providing a sandbox path.

If that still does not produce a download, it is often better to avoid a separate workbook entirely and ask Copilot to write the results into the file you already have open:

Please add the requested results to a new worksheet in this workbook.

That way the output lands somewhere you can save normally, without depending on the sandbox at all.

One thing worth noting: if you have already closed or moved on from that conversation, the file will most likely be gone, and regenerating it is the only option.

I have no idea what you sent me, and no idea where sharepoint is nor how to access it. Instead.....

Below is what i told it to do per your instructions, and below that is what it told me.......Note: I've spent days/hours on this and am at a loss. I must have Microsoft help from an expert...I cannot do this...and its what I'm already paying for.

These are 2 separate excel files, one with work contacts and one with personal contacts, both contain same column headings and both are saved in same format.
