Add Redacted to usable Word Online fonts, please.

Question

Wondering if it may become possible, at some point, to use [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]'s open-source typeface "Redacted" in Word Online without the trigger that forces unauthorized fonts to revert to Aptos. Please advise, thanks.

At present, there is no published information confirming that the Redacted typeface will be added to the fonts available in Word for the web. Installing the font on your computer may allow it to work in the Word desktop application, but Word for the web does not necessarily have access to locally installed fonts. If the online service cannot render the selected font, it may substitute an available font such as Aptos.

Since this would require a product change, I recommend submitting the request directly to the Word product team. In Word for the web, select Help and then Feedback, and describe why support for the Redacted typeface would be useful. You may also mention that it is open source and include a link to its official licensing or project information.

This is the appropriate channel for suggesting improvements to Word for the web.

I hope Microsoft considers your suggestion for Word web in a future update.
