Hello, I redeemed a $10 Microsoft/Xbox gift card from Microsoft Rewards and used it to buy 800 Robux for Xbox.

I do not own an Xbox console, so the Robux cannot be delivered to my account.

My order history shows “Miscellaneous Credit – Refunded $10.00”, but my Microsoft account balance still shows $0.04.

I would like to understand:

What “Miscellaneous Credit” means

Whether this refund is still processing

How long it normally takes for the Microsoft account balance to update

Thank you.User's image

    Hello Bibha Rajeev

“Miscellaneous Credit” is generally a billing label used for a credit or account adjustment. In the screenshot, the $10 transaction was paid with your Microsoft account balance and is now marked as refunded, so the refund should normally be returned to that same balance.

Because the refund was issued only yesterday, it may still be processing. Refunds generally take 3–5 business days to appear, even after the order history shows “Refunded.”

You can continue checking your balance here: Check your Microsoft account balance

If the $10 has not returned after 5 business days, please contact Microsoft Support and provide the order details for further assistance:

    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

I hope the balance updates shortly.
