Unable to complete Azure for Students verification despite verified GitHub Student Developer Pack

I am a currently enrolled student using my official university email ******@oic.edu.np.

My GitHub Student Developer Pack is already approved, and I have attempted to activate the Azure for Students offer through GitHub.

However, Azure consistently shows:

“Unable to complete Azure for Students verification. Please try again shortly or contact us.”

I have already tried Incognito mode, signing in with my university account, the Azure for Students signup directly, and the GitHub Student Developer Pack Azure offer. I have also waited several days and the issue persists.

My Azure Portal currently shows no subscription.

Could you please check whether my Azure for Students verification is stuck and advise how it can be reset or manually reviewed?

I think Azure for Students only succeeds when the Microsoft account passes the student‑verification check, and when the verification doesn’t go through Azure’s guidance is simply to open a support request under account or subscription management in the portal. Old Students or Free Trial subscriptions in another directory can stop a new one from being created.

Azure for Students eligibility is verified through Microsoft’s student verification requirements, and GitHub approval does not guarantee that Azure for Students verification will complete successfully. Azure for Students requires that the student be a full-time student at an accredited degree-granting institution and verify academic status through the institution’s email address. The offer is limited to one Azure for Students subscription per eligible customer.

Since Incognito mode, direct signup, GitHub activation, and waiting several days were already tried, the remaining supported path is to contact support for manual review.

Use this path in the Azure portal:

    1. Open Help + Support.
    2. Select Create a support request.
    3. In Support + Troubleshooting, search for subscription management.
    4. Select subscription management, then select Next.
    5. If suggested fixes do not apply, scroll down and select Contact Support.
    6. Select Create a support request.
    7. If the suggestions page appears again, select Return to support request.
    8. Continue and submit the ticket for review of the Azure for Students verification state.

If the issue is related to sign-in identity mismatch, make sure the university email is connected to the Microsoft account used for the sign-in flow:

    1. Go to the sign-in page for your Microsoft account.
    2. Open Your info.
    3. Select Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.
    4. Add the university email address as an email on that Microsoft account.

For Azure Dev Tools for Teaching access issues, Microsoft also provides student support at Microsoft support webpage.
