I have a PRIVATE home computer which runs Outlook as my primary e-mai. When I try to click on various links, it tells me MY ORGANIIZATION will not allow access to links. I AM NOT AN ORGANIZATION!!! How do I rectify this?? I tried downloading the virtual assistant, but I don't have enough avaiable disk space to do so. Also --- somone, or something has gotten into my other device and at various times just shuts it down --- even though I am running a VPN. Turns that off as well.. I need to TALK TO A PERSON PLEASE!!

For a private home PC, this usually means Outlook or Windows has a work/school-style account connection or policy attached, even if the device is not actually owned by an organization.

    Try this in order:

    1. In Windows, open Settings > Accounts > Access work or school.
      • If any account is listed there, select it and choose Disconnect.
      • Restart the computer after disconnecting it.
    2. If Outlook or another Microsoft app later prompts for a work account again, choose sign into this app only if that option appears, not the option that allows the organization to manage device settings.
    3. If the device still appears connected to an organization, check again under Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and remove any remaining connection.
    4. If the issue is specifically that links in Outlook are disabled, Outlook for Windows does have a documented links-disabled issue. If disconnecting any work/school account does not fix it, use Microsoft support options to continue troubleshooting.

For speaking with support, Microsoft provides these options:

    • Use Start sign-in helper if the issue involves account sign-in problems.
    • Use Get Help on the web to describe the Outlook problem and be connected to the appropriate support option, which may include chat or a call request.
    • Get Help in Windows can also run troubleshooters for common problems.

Important: Microsoft support agents cannot send password reset links or directly change account details.

The part about another device being shut down and the VPN being turned off is not covered here. Use Microsoft support directly for that broader account/device issue.
